چکیده
The temporal linear instability of a viscoelastic liquid sheet moving around an inviscid gas in transverse electrical field is analyzed. fluid described by the leaky dielectric model, which more complex than existing models and enables characterization properties. In addition, assumed to be viscoelastic, dimensionless dispersion relation sinuous varicose modes between wavenumber growth rate can derived as 3 × matrix. According this relationship, effects properties on are determined. results suggest that, Euler number elasticity increase time constant ratio decreases, becomes unstable. Finally, energy budget approach adopted investigate mechanism for mode.

The rupture of a 3D stationary free liquid film under the competing effects of surface tension and van der Waals forces is studied as a linearized stability problem in a purely irrotational analysis utilizing the dissipation method. The results of the foregoing analysis are compared with a 2D long-wave approximation that has given rise to an extensive literature on the rupture problem. The irro...

Phase transitions occur in various systems in electric field. To treat such problems we need to construct a Ginzburg-Landau free energy including electrostatic interactions and electric field effects under each given boundary condition.1) The gross variables include the order parameter ψ, the polarization p, and the charge density ρ. (Note ψ = p in ferroelectric systems.) In this letter we pres...

A charge carrier confined in a quasi-one-dimensional semiconductor helical nanostructure in the presence of an electric field normal to the axis of the helix is subjected to a periodic potential proportional to the strength of the field and the helix radius. As a result, electronic properties of such nanohelices are similar to those of semiconductor superlattices with parameters controlled by t...
